ACELT tapped to train public school English teachers

The Ateneo Center for English Language Teaching (ACELT) has been chosen by the Teachers Education Council of the Department of Education to conduct a 5-day training program for 150 newly hired public elementary and high school English teachers from 27-31 October 2008 at the Ateneo de Manila University.

The theme of the training program is Reflective Teaching: Promoting Learning in the English Classroom, with special focus on reading and evaluation. The training schedule is designed to have input sessions in plenary during the morning, and application sessions in the afternoon. The 150 inductees will be divided into five groups of 30, based on the level of students the teachers handle.
