SOM Business Idea Generation Competition

This competition is open to all Ateneo students with new business ideas that have the potential to be introduced to the market and may take the form of goods or services.  Unlike a business plan which is tedious to make, the students will just submit new ideas in a short bond paper size not longer than 2 pages long.  There are categories for the Best IT Proposal & Best Science-Related Proposal.  A student can submit as many entries as they want.  The criteria for judging will be based on uniqueness of idea, novelty of idea and significance to society.  Proposals should be dropped at the box located at the JGSOM  Dean's Office, 3rd floor of the JGSOM building, by 4:30 PM of September 16, 2005, Friday.

Entrepreneurial Seminars

There are three seminars organized in this week's SomWeek:

While a native of Cologne, Germany, Dr. Joerg (Yorg) Breuer (Broyer) is no stranger to Southeast Asia.  He has been with the BMW Group since 1994 and has been assigned to various Asian countries namely Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore. Previously appointed as the Sales and Marketing Director during the establishment of the Philippine office, he returns as BMW Philippines' President. Dr. Breuer is fluent in German, French, and English, and has a Doctorate in Marketing.

  3. Placement Office Entrepreneurial Seminar (Sept 16, 430pm-6pm, SS-AVR)
This is a career talk on entrepreneurship entitled "YOU GO BOSS!"  The invited but unconfirmed speakers are Ms. Joanna Duarte of Big and Small co, Mr. Jonathan Ruby of Worldlink, and we will conatct Ms. Cello Santos of Cello's.   We have committed to support this seminar.
