Ateneans Emerge Champions of 2007 FINEX Finance Competition
The Ateneo team composed of Andrea Co, Jaime Cuenco, Clark Cue, Jeremy Go, & Alfonso Maputol won the overall champtionship in FINEX's 9th Inter-Collegiate Finance Competition - the Philippines' most prestigious annual competition in finance and accounting, with the highest overall score ever garnered by a team in the history of the competition. UP placed second, and a guest team from the Singapore Management University was third place. The competition, which brought together top students from 69 colleges and universities, was held in two stages, with elimination rounds staged simultaneously in Pasig, Cebu, Bacolod and Davao on Sept. 21, 2007. The top 20 teams advanced to the finals, held on Oct. 15, at the BSP Auditorium, Pasay City. Questions were taken from the body of knowledge required for the CFA Level One examination.
